Training and Speaking on Intensive Dynamic Therapies and Mental Health

Michelle is not only a therapist but also a dedicated educator and trainer. In addition to her role as Chair and faculty of the Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) Core Training program at the New Washington School of Psychiatry, Michelle passionately offers trainings throughout the year.

These trainings provide valuable insights and techniques that can help transform mental health practices, universities, and organizations. Michelle's expertise in intensive therapies and her deep understanding of how learning to speak to the unconscious mind can elicit lasting change make her an invaluable resource for those seeking to enhance their understanding and treatment of mental health.

When presenting to medical and mental health professionals, Michelle incorporates video tapes of actual therapy sessions. These recordings offer a valuable opportunity for clinicians to witness the work firsthand, allowing them to observe the therapeutic process, interventions used, and the client's responses. The use of video tape not only enhances the educational aspect of presentations but also provides a tangible illustration of various therapeutic techniques and their applications. By visually experiencing the dynamics of real-life sessions, professionals can gain deeper insights into the intricacies of therapeutic work and enrich their own clinical practice.

Her trainings offer participants the opportunity to delve into the intricacies of intensive therapies, including ISTDP, which focuses on addressing core emotional conflicts and defenses, leading to rapid and transformative change. Participants will gain valuable skills in working with clients who face challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues.

Additionally, Michelle's trainings shed light on the power of learning to speak to the unconscious. The unconscious holds a wealth of information and insight that can be harnessed to facilitate lasting change. By understanding the language of the unconscious and employing effective techniques, practitioners can navigate the depths of the human psyche and guide their clients towards profound transformation.

Flexibility is a key aspect of Michelle's training offerings. She can take requests for speaking topics and is available to conduct trainings at health practices, universities, or organizations.
